********************MY STORY***********************

Ummi.... ummi... ummii..ummii.. (Ummi, a song by Hadad Alwi) My Phone alarm sound.

XX.25am. Oh Im late for sahur! I wake up and rush to kitchen.

4.25am is the alarm I prepare to remind me Imsak time. So there's another 10 minutes before azan.

Even if I didn't eat rice, I m still able to eat bread, dates, Vitagen and drink sufficiently to give me energy for the day.

While eating I keep checking the time, XX.28am and I already eat half of the tuna bread. XX.29am, I finish eating the tuna bread with vitagen and plan to eat few more dates before I gulp the glass of water that I prepared. XX.31am I finish eating 3 dates.

Im quite a fast eater I gues, there is another 4 minutes before azan.Since Im quite full I eat slower and on the mobile data to surf internet to read (I really dont like to make single thing a time, I think that wasting time. Usually I will do multitask at once). Today is my credit expiry date, so I dint know if I will be able to surf the internet. I try sending whatapp to my sister and she received it. Oh, the mobile data is still usable today!

The surau is quite far from my house, so sometimes I can and sometimes not hear azan from my house. XX.33am 2 minute before azan, I gulp down the whole water in the glass. XX.34am just so on time! Will finish eating now, but will wait another 10 minutes for subuh. I still half conscious after rushingly wake up and Im quite full now.

XX.45am, showed on the alarm clock near my bed. Will go for subuh now!

Im taking wuduk and feel waken up and fresh.

Walking on the living room, I saw the the outside became quite bright which I never really notice before. "Hmm.. maybe because of Ramadan the sun comes early". I do my subuh prayer and read the Al mathurat when I saw from the window, Its really a sunny morning. The table alarm clock shows XX.15am.

I stand up and went to take the table clock and put it very near to my eyes to confirm the time. Whoa, it is 06.16am. I reach my phone to confirm the time, and again it was pass 6, not pass 5.

I check on my whatsapp since during my sahur I did sent a whatsapp messege to my sis. The message sent was 5.31am. Astaghfirullahalazim... I AM 1 HOUR LATE ACTUALLY!!

I did istighfar many times of how sinful I am for always wake up late (when not Ramadhan) and today I even late in my sahur. Keep playing in my mind on what will become to my fasting. I plan that I will fast normally today, but will need to replace it in the future. InsyaAllah.

I ask my sis what will become to my fasting, and she said it will just be ok and do fasting normally since I didn't eat purposely.

I search in internet of my situation, and it turn out that it was actually a rezeki that Allah gives to his servant. It is really a rezeki, I was full, it gives me enough energy on that day and most of all, it gives me experience to be more thankful to Allah mercy.

This is my first experience eating during fasting. When I was about 7 years old, there is one time I pretending to forget the fasting and drink a jug of water (about 400ml) in front of sis while watching TV. "Did u note fast?" she asked. "Oh! I forgot it!" I said while continue drink from the small jug till I really full. It was during morning, then I continue my fasting by not eating but the water does gives me energy the whole day. hahaha.

My Lord, Im tahnkful for your rezeki, for Your gracious, for always helping me in a way that I never imagine, for Your blessing that I still a grateful Muslim. Alhamdulillah..

Ramadan With Mum

Alhamdulillah, for us still kicking alive to meet this blessing month of Ramadan Kareem. More blessing for me after more than 10 years fasting alone at early Ramadan, this Ramadan I was blessed with mum visit! We did small thanksgiving feast to welcome Ramadhan as well expressing our gratitude for His rezq, and blessing that we all healthy.

I also able to do terawikh with mum where this is her first time terawikh at Surau here. We went walking about 500m which seems not too close and not too far. I am able to have night walk with mum, show her the beautiful stars in the sky and lovey-dovey with her. There is one time, while we walk a small truck that went to same route, stop and offering us ride. We hoop onto the back with few children also wearing telekung intending to do terawikh. I have a big smile when the engine start, the night breeze gaze my face and my heart rejoice the moment that it will be a special memories with mum.

During sahur and iftar I was able to eat mum's cook. I wake up only after mum finish cook, just to eat (bad daughter!). But once I did wake up to make simple egg soup for mum and mum said it delicious!

This year I celebrate Ramadhan not only with mum but also with grandma and all my cats (botak, cheetah and tiger). The cats oddly accept mum visit with a warm welcome. Cheetah who previously anti human that makes me to choose him or mum, but finally accept mum. Oddly he became shameless and fall in love with mum. He finally learns that mum is another person that can provide him food. It even insightful to see him begging and stealing foods from us which later my kind-hearted grandma will give him the food on the floor. Mum on the other hand feed them first before we eat. I also remember once my aunty came and cheetah begging for the bun that she eat. The lucky cheetah got one whole bun for himself. Tiger also oddly spend more time in home which she usually only back during diner time!

We also have a small fight. It was at fourth Ramadhan. During 1 hour lunch break, I back home to spend that precious hour with mum. However with my arrival, mum start doing house chores like washing dishes, heating water. I told mum to do it later after I back to work since she have nothing to do afterall. She keep continue doing dishes saying it wont take long but in the end it takes 30 minutes worth of time. Finish with the dishes she continue heating water. I keep pestering her to stop doing work and spend time with me. Take pity on me that walk back home to spend time with her. She said it won't takes long and continue heating water. Finish the second work she said she want to peel the coconut that I just buy. I get angry and said, wait until I gone to work. She lie beside me and when I just fall asleep she went to the kitchen and peel the coconut. About 15 minutes later I woke up and found that she not besides me. As of that it was time to go work and mum come to the room and wont have any work to do after this. I got very angry on how mum not appreciate my effort and my feeling wanting to spend time with her. I talk harsh and say she didn't comes for me but just to settle her things (this part I am wrong). Maybe I just love her ways too much that I get irritated on simple things like this. Or are my love is selfish? Did I love her only for my sake? Or should I love mum less? Because loving her too much makes me hurt more. Now I change my phone wallpaper from her picture to lilo and stitch picture. I usually calls everyday, but now after 2 weeks I only call once. It is not I want to hate her, but I try not to obsessed or too childish. I did give mum proper farewell and apologize for my wrongdoing while she with me, I tell her that I will act maturely after this. Afterall mum know me in-out and she know I am mad because I love her. My obsessive love might bad for her and for me as well, I should be matured and strong emotionally. That why Allah must be the number one and we must love a person because of Allah or else the love might not beneficial. What happened is not a bad thing, but to teach me to be better, stronger and dependable.

Obsessive love is definitely bad. =P

love sincerely and show your love =)

Appreciate little things, so your heart at ease. InsyaAllah

While mum at my home, I didn't read much quran as I want to spend more time with her in the very short visit. Every moments is so precious for me. Supposedly I read 1 Juz a day, but I read very little. Alhamdulillah I just finish the Quran yesterday. It was quite an achievement for me after fail in the 2 remadhan previously. Alhamdulillah ya Rabb for giving me courage, health, time and heart to do that simple little ibadah.

This Ramadhan is very special for me, able to live experiencing another episode of Ramadhan with the person I love, I hope I learned and make benefit out of it. I hope with my effort, the blessing of Ramadhan can change me into a better muslim that strong physical and emotionally. Who appreciate what are good, forgiver, and trying hard to find hidayah and Allah's blessing. Amin..

Note:
I really love my family, thus the stronger the bond, the deeper attachment I have.

Theft

I have several times experience theft in my life. One who stole from bank account, from our house and even from my bag! Sadly the culprit are those who look good, normal and close to us.

We are not a rich family, but we spend wisely and save little by little. My parents also are not educated and only work as a labour with little salary to rise us and support our family. Still our family try many other works such as gardening, selling things as another route to gain halal rezq. They knew this yet they never consider about it and still victimize us as long we are an easy target to get that small little money.

Some even too blind by the money and fooled by their own greediness. It was the greediness that trapped and expose their thievery act. Isint it very obvious when the only money I have gone and its not only once, but many times already. The money in the bank all gone even we never withdraw it.

The same pattern of a thief are, they knew us, they not feel regret nor sympathy towards their victim, they acting kind when they see you, they not perform solat, they always cheat, the thefting happen repeatedly, they take few at the beginning, they become greedy and take uncontrollable and lastly they are exposed. They would never admit unless you have all the prove that 100% trap them into nowhere. The all theft that I met never regret their act, some pretending regret, some feel that it is not big deal, some only worry about the shame in front of human or whatever they will lost (job, salary) after the foolish act. They hope their victim will act nice to them and let them go as usually they only victimize weak and kind people. Some even dare to ask to let them in their current job while you know they never regret, and only Allah knew their inside.

About the money they steal, they feel very loss to pay it thus again they lie about it. The victim instead feel more careful and just take little than they know as long it confidently halal and belong to them. The victim repent that they might wrong anywhere that this happened, they acknowledge that all the blessing and rezq are from  Allah, He can give and take them to anyone He want and He is the Almighty-Rich and Gracious. However the first issue comes before the money is about trust. How could them?!!

They never consider how hard the victim works for the halal money, that she has family to support, and she never live in luxury. On the other hand, all those thief spend on not necessary, luxury, jolly and things they cannot afford. You are still alive without watching movie in cinema, without new cloth every month or spend excessively on phone bill.

Alhamdulllah nowadays there are camera and video tape easily access to trap the thief. So next time be careful thief!!! More than that remember that Allah watching you, Fear more to Allah and love yourself. Stealing few thousand wont never ever make you rich, remember Allah, regret your wrongdoing, correct what necessary and make a new start.

We face this 3 kind of thievery. We are mad, frust, and hate them but in the end we try to be kind towards them. That because we have Allah and Islam that lead us to the right path, to be kind, grateful and forgiveful. We try to not embarrass them, and pray that they will back to the right path.

We also did wrong by easily trust people, and not take extra precaution. I will give attention into this!!!!

I agree with hudud law to cut off the hand of a thief. Really many thief are only greedy peoples and they embezzle excessively and shamelessly.

Afterall, I am very grateful that it is just a thievery and not a robbery. It just the money, and we all are fine. Alhamdulillah ya Rabb for protecting us form evil. We accept this as your small test, to handle it as a muslim should, to give us opportunity to gain Your rewards or maybe this is the turning point for the thief itself. You are a Great Planner and All-Wise which what happened are for our own good.

Wise man said,

Rezeki yang halal, sikitnya disyukuri, banyaknya dikongsi.
Rezeki yang haram, sikitnya tak pernah cukup, banyaknya tak pernah puas.

For halal rezq, the bit is grace, the extra is shared.
For Haram rezq, the little will never enough, the abundant will never satisfying.

Notes:
  • Specially for labour day. We work for halal rezq, to live blessingly with Allah favor.
  • No worry, not many knew about Suri's site and not many people read it. hehehe. Just expressing my feeling generally after have to deal with it secretly and kindly with allot of request that challenge my feeling. O Allah let me be patient and do things as your favour. Amin..
  • Maybe thievery is just a thievery and not as bad as murder, robbery, or physical abuse. Everybody make mistakes, and deserve chance. Which I may also need someday.
  • Still, this time it is overboard!!

The Reality of Puppy Mill

Startling Video Reveals How Much That Doggie In The Window Really Costs

We all love puppies. We all love to see people’s reaction when someone hands them a puppy of their very own. There is so much joy and instant love. But behind all of that joy and love, there is pain and suffering. Pet store puppies come from puppy mills. Most of know this by now, but what you may not know is that puppy millers also sell dogs online and at flea markets, among other places.

To expose the horror of puppy mills, the organization Room2Love created the emotionally jarring PSA below. The end of the video may be disturbing for some pup lovers, but the message is an extremely important one.
As of 2012, when this video was made, Oklahoma ranked #2 for the top puppy mill states according to Room2Love. In 2015, the Humane Society listed the state at #12. This drastic drop in puppy mills across the states is likely due to the work of groups like Room2Love, as well as Best Friends Animal Society and the dozens of other organizations and thousands of individuals working to raise awareness and end puppy mills.
Room2Love’s website is currently offline, but if you would like to find out more about how to stop puppy mills, visit Best Friends Animal Society.
If you want to bring a fluffy single (dog) into your family, download our BarkBuddy app to find the rescue pup of your dreams.

Animal Circus is Cruel!

This Is Why You Shouldn't Go To The Circus

This is the depressing truth behind the greatest show on Earth.
These photos, taken by former Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus trainer Sam Haddock, show the brutal process of preparing elephants for the circus. A young elephant calf is tied up with rope, his mother nowhere in sight, while a group of "trainers" contort the young animal into the positions he needs to learn to perform.
SAM HADDOCK/PETA
In some photos, the so-called trainers can be seen using a bullhookto control the elephant calf. The pointed instruments are used to jab elephants in entertainment or labor into "behaving," and have been banned in several U.S. cities.
SAM HADDOCK/PETA
The training process is painful, both physically and psychologically — the baby elephants are often brutally ripped away from their mothers before training begins.
Sometimes it turns deadly. An 8-month-old calf named Ricardo was euthanized in 2004 after he fell off a platform during training and broke two legs. A few years earlier, a 3-year-old drowned after running into the water to escape his trainer's bullhook.
SAM HADDOCK/PETA
Of course, Ringling Bros. has since announced that it would end its circus elephant program — though the company has said they will be retired to the Center for Elephant Conservation, the Florida training and breeding center where these photos were taken. It's unclear if the elephants will still be trained to perform.
SAM HADDOCK/PETA
But these photos are hardly unique to Ringling Bros. Baby circus elephants around the world go through a similar process to prepare them for performances and make them docile enough to handle.
The process is used in Thailand and other places where elephant rides and labor are common. There, it's known as a "training crush,"because it crushes a young elephant's spirit, and can involve beatings, sleep deprivation and starvation.
SAM HADDOCK/PETA
Sadly, if an elephant is docile enough to be controlled by humans, he has probably gone through a process similar to the one shown above. The best way to avoid supporting these industries is to not support any attraction that features elephants doing tricks, giving rides or otherwise performing — and the same applies to other wild animals.
Fortunately, there are people working to help elephants rescued from scenes like this one. If you'd like to help, you can make adonation to the Elephant Nature Park, a sanctuary for Thailand's elephants, or The Elephant Sanctuary and the Performing Animal Welfare Society, two U.S.-based groups that provide a safe haven for former circus elephants.

Suriana's Note:
  • This is a repost from The Dodo
  • Making animals to perform tricks beyond their natural capability is cruel! It is especially when they are forced and abused physically and mentally just to entertain you and to fill the pocket of greedy humans!
  • It is not entertaining instead the animals are scared, abused and helpless where they have to live in harsh training with cruel and greedy humans. They might even just die during the process.
  • If you need entertainment from animals adopt domestic animals such as cat and dog. There are too many strays that are loveable, loyal, funny, cute and thirst for your help. The performance is free with their own will, sincere and they might as well loyally stick by your side to protect you.
  • Human did train dog to guard place, K9 dogs to help us, but to train and abuse animals for the sake of entertainment solely is really selfish and cruel.
  • What the use of riding elephant when there are cars and motors nowadays? If you have a heart it will never entertaining to know how cruel the process is. Where the objective is only money and entertainment.
  • Never support circus, elephant ride or any animals performance, IT IS CRUEL!

        • This kind of story is adorable and inspiring. Human should be kind towards other creature (animals, plants and nature) especially those in need of help.
        • In the first video, even a simple act gives happiness to the pony, the horse, the kind men and us that watching it. Kind man help animals!
        • For the second video, the folks work in team to save the stuck goat. It seems not an easy rescue but fortunately end with a happy ending. Alhamdulillah.. =D
        • The third video, the kind snorkeler endangering himself to save the trapped puffer fish. The fish's friend seems sad and loyal. It shows he patiently wait for his friend and he seems trust the snorkeler that he didn't puff-up his body. However in this kind of dangerous situation, prioritize your safety first and think of any ways you can help without putting yourself in danger. However it seems the kind snorkeler did take precaution, maybe a pro or he just a kind brave man!
        • Im sure all the rescuer return with a blessing heart full of happiness, experience, proud and more love towards animals and nature. They deserve respect and thumb up for their courage and kindness. The rescued animlas on the other hand must be grateful to wish a good luck to their hero.
        • Be kind towards animals and may you be blessed! =D
