Penguins are curious and sociable animals, and they tend to approach humans whenever they see us. However unlike other animals, we should never touch them, as it is harmful to them. Touching might remove the oil lining on their feathers, which reduces their waterproofing. This can eventually cause them to soak in cold weather and reduce their ability to swim. So, to help them, never touch a penguin.
