Badminton and the other sports

Just watch 'Cool Kiz On The Block' episode Badminton Returns. It featuring the legendary Korean double players Olympic gold medalist (Park Joobong & Kim Dongmoon), the new double players Olympic gold medalist (Yoo Yeonseong & Lee Yougdae) and their national coaches (Lee Dongsoo & Ha Taekwon). Im so excited to watch the match between them even though its not a real game where it actually a match only for the program without expensive gift or medal. They are skillful yet very humorous and humble. Its fun to watch compare when watching a real game (Olympic, Asian game, etc, etc) where the atmosphere is tense and serious. Its like watching the professional play skillfully in humorous way.

While watching the episode it remind me about the past (I was 10 years old) when I also love to play badminton. Its not easy to get my first racket that price RM12.00 where I have to begging for few times and tearfully happy to get it as a surprise. hehe.. I dont remember the brand but it is white color, heavy with a quite loose string compare to my friend's racket. Plus it not even have bag but totally just a racket. Anyway Im still grateful of having it, and its so memorable.

At evening my friends and I will play badminton in a court near our house. We have the court but we dont know the rule thus we just playing as we think suitable. One of my friend, Mustazha seems pretending quite to know the rules thus he always become the referee. While being a referee he will count, speak and act like a professional referee. He knew fancy word in badminton such as mata terakhir/ match point, perlawanan kedua/ second match, smash, score and service over. Maybe people will said that they are easy words but for kids like us who mostly watching cartoon we learn it from him and we envy his knowledge especially when he said it in English. hehe.. Since Mus has Astro with sports channel in his house thus he watching and learn sports with his father who also love sports. In contrast Im watching Garfield, Doraemon, Rocket Boy, Dragon ball, Sailor moon, Power Rangers and many more can be list. Sometime the adult at our village also do grand badminton match at least once a year. The price is always a big hamper with many foods and cookies inside.

We have season in doing sport at our village. Sometimes we go for volleyball, football, badminton, baseball and basketball. Sometime we go for traditional game batu seremban, congkak, enkek-enkek, kitting and gasing. Also we active in 80s kids game zeropointm, 'polis-polis', 3 kaki, hide and seek, playing marble and london bridge. Indoor game such as checker, snakes dice and the most famous is Jutaria. There other uncategorize game which we call snap2. We sing a song while claping hands with partner and end the song with some rule (siapa ketawa dia kena cubit) and the other game is injat2 semut. Sometimes we go play at the river but when back I will get whipped with hos while Im pretending its not hurt and not crying. haha..

Eventhough we play allot, every evening we will go to surau to pray for maghrib, isya and learn Al-Quran in the within. What so famous that time is we use porcupine quills as a pointer ruler. The imam is known for being strict thus we dont fooling around and learn seriously.  He is also my friend's father and he teach us for free. Alhamdulillah with such culture, we learn the basic things when we were kids, self consciousness how it important to our soul/life and getting improve by time. Alhamdulillah its one thing that lead us to be a better person or at least not spoil badly.

Our kids gang become not active after we enter secondary school. That because everyone feel like an adults and wont do things or play sports childishly. Each of us also become shy and polite to opposite gander, but with same gander we become best friend. Even though we seldom meet for play, theres few times when we gather for good purpose such as cleaning our village surau. We all still friends till now but hardly meeting because many work or study at another town. Really miss the old days where as young kid we play all this happily. Even though it is moderate and simple (we dont have enough equipment and facilities where the priority to the adult) the friendship and memory are so precious. Thank you friends for all the times we spend, hope you also remember it as sweet memory of our childhood. May all of you healthy, happy and blessed wherever you are. Amin =)

Dogs in The Neighbourhood

Recently many talk about the event 'I want to touch a dog'. As someone that know not much it trigger me to read and learn more. Im not here to comment (because Im not confident/qualified) on the even instead just want to share my reading about dog in Islam. Mainly I want to share the story on how here dog is neded to help and assist us in our everyday life while in the same time we follow Islamic teaching. I am learning, so kindly do correct me if anything I write is wrong or leading to fitnah/confusion. I am here to seek for His blessing, learning, sharing and to give personal opinion for good purpose.

I am an animal lover, once in my childhood my ambition is to become a vet. However due to my disgust/fear to snake and I cannot imagine (faint-hearted) myself if I have to abuse animals for scientific purpose (even for good purpose) thus about vet is just an ambition. But gladly Im not a vet, because until now I still think the same, and Alhamdulillah I do love my biology course. =)

As an animal lover, we have an instinct to have extra sympathy, care and love to all animals. Sometimes we get emotional seeing animals being abused, we willing to spend extra money or time for them, just seeing them can make us happy and we appreciate them being created as they are. I am grateful for this special feeling because it is one thing that make me blissfully happy in my everyday life. Alhamdulillah =D

As an animals lover, dog is an animal that I admire. They are intelligent, loyal, protective, funny and loving. All stories around the world about dog die while saving their owner, a dog alarm save human from burning house, a dog prevent burglar, a dog loyally waiting for their owner or a dog mourn for the death of their owner etc etc. It really touch my heart. We know its real story not legend, because we can see most dog have instincts to be brave, loyal, intelligent and protective. Shouldn't human be grateful and amazed for the great creation that Allah create?

However before everything I love Allah and my religion more. We have rules and must follow Islamic law/teaching because we have faith and seek for His blessing. The recent event cause many to give opinion and views regarding dogs in Islam. So taking this opportunity we should learn and get clear about this issue. For me it is wise to learn, hear and analyse all the opinion and take the most trusted source with intention to seek for Allah blessing. For me the most trusted source is JAKIM which is an organisation approved and entrusted to uphold Islamic teaching in Malaysia. This is a summary of what I read/understand from an article about dog in Islam by Jakim. Wisely go to the website for further understanding and clarification.

  1. For Malaysia that following Syafie School, It is haram for a Muslim to touch dog without a strong reason (example to save or for hunting).
  2. Dog is regarded as najis mughalazah (najis berat)
  3. Haram for a muslim to keep dog solely for the purpose as pet (example: keeping cute, weak or small breed as companion is not allowed)
  4. A muslim is allowed to to keep trained dog for good purpose such as guardian dog for house or farm.
  5. A muslim can touch dog for strong purpose such as to save them, but later we must clean ourself by sertu.
  6. Sertu is a process of cleaning and purifying najis mughallazah. The process of cleaning is by pouring one portion of mixed soil-water, then followed by 6 portion of water to the affected area. The cleaning must remove smell, colour or taste of the najis.
In my neighborhood (company's quarters), there are about 10 dogs that owned by my neighbor (non Muslim) to keep as pet as well as guardian dog. Because I must walk through their area to go to my house thus the dogs know me well. Early days when I just come to live in the area, I purposely trying to be friendly by giving them food and talk to them (Im not patting nor touching them). I said "Hi, Im living here, dont bark or bite me, keep watching our neighbourhood and my house too". To be honest it feel safer. They will bark to stranger that come at night, the two years Im here no intruder dare to come and no drug addicts in the bush area. Because I appreciate them, I do give them food especially the leftover. They are not choosy and sometimes I pity them for being hungry. Even I like them, Im not touching them for no purpose. Once I touch a puppy to save him from drain, and after that I clean myself by sertu.

Because of the special (loyal, brave, good sense of smell and intelligent) in dogs there are many use of dogs that we cannot depend on other animals. Some friends keep dog to take care of their goat farm, to guard their orchard form thief, to guard oil palm from being stolen, to accompany them when they go to large oil palm plantation (to protect them from wild animals and help human if needed) and to guard house. As the owner there must be attachment between them and their dog. They love their dogs and give them food and shelter. Yet they still follow Islamic regulation. They dont simply touch their dog, do sertu if accidentally touch dog and not allow the dog to enter their house. In my village, even if we are not the owner many purposely collect their leftover to give to the dogs. We feel blessed to be kind towards His other creature, and the dog repay us by being kind and watch after the area.

In my life, few times I met bad dog. Going to school being bark by many dogs. The worst is when I was 12 years old about 7 dogs chase after me (about 70m) and lastly I trapped with them surrounded me. I scream very laud (MUUUUUUUMYYYY) while all them also barking louder. Alhamdulillah they dismiss after few minutes, I am not injured and the dogs not even touch me. Thank you Allah for protecting my physical and instinct as animal lover (I am not me if I dont have it and I may not this blissfully happy in my everyday life). Even with that experience I dont hate nor afraid/ trauma to dog, but I really hope no more nightmare with dogs. hehehe.. I hate dog's owner that neglect their responsibility to give foods, shelter to their dogs, not control its population and the worst not control the dogs that behave dangerously to the public. This types of owner that make dogs become wild and may become threat to the public.

Lastly I admire and appreciate dog but will follow the Islamic regulation about it. I feel blessed following the Islamic teaching and I dont see anything bad about it, we still can wisely take advantage to dog's specialty (loyal, brave, good sense of smell and intelligent) and never Islam teach us to hate or abuse dogs.

My humble sharing, do correct if necessary. May Allah bless. =)

Casually Lying

When truth can be hurt......

Use trick instead of lying =P

Lying is deliberating untruth. Morally it is not ethical and in religious it is a sin. We do lie many times in our life as to hide our mistake, to save reputation, to make things real, seasoning in rumors, to make us look great or making other look bad, to get praises, boasting and in critical situation is to save our-self.

We do lie before, but shall today we start to not lying? Start slowly to not uttering lie, but in a critical condition we may use trick (my personal opinion, I think it's OK). What I mean by trick is we are saying the truth, but in creative ways such as not sharing the full info or changing topic while talking. How to determined a trick or lie, its up to ownself. If you seek for Allah's love, believing He is watching, you should know which is what.

These situation always happen in our life

1) To protect yourself

Situation: A friend have many times borrowing money from you but yet pay the old debt and she has history of neglecting her debt (pretending she never borrow) and instead you too shy asking her to pay. Now she ask RM50. Its nothing urgent but just because she overspending with not important things. You have few hundreds in your wallet.

lie: Im very sorry, I didnt bring any today, if not I will absolutely lend it to you. Maybe you better try to lend from xx.

Trick: Sorry, I also need it.

Comment: By lying as above you encourage her again for the next time and its not nice to suggest the situation you dont like to others. Maybe you can suggest her to borrow from the company where payment is cut off from the salary. It's not that we are stingy, but if its reach others taking advantage on you while she not making effort, this might be the best for both of you.

2) To look good

Lie: Boasting and exaggerate when talking.

Comment: Mind with other perception is good, but need not to lie for it. First make ourself good for Allah and family.

3) Seasoning in rumor

Lie: You are so into a story that many fact changing. Even add-up voice tone may change the the real meaning.

Comment: It's much better if you cover the embarrassment of others. Spreading the story even if its true is also bad. It's still understandable if it involving you where you just want to share your feeling, but if just for gossiping to entertain the day that not just lie but include backtalking and fitnah. That is being mean.

4) Covering others

Situation: Your friend/co-worker have discipline problem at work. Your boss several times spotted it and thus she ask you for confirmation and opinion.

Lie: She is not that kind. (with other make-up stories)

Truth: Since I don't know her work scope, I cannot simply comment on others. It is more suitable if you ask her leader or HR because they know her work better and it is their duty to take care the discipline of workers.

Comment: You were trapped between friends and boss. By telling the truth, that may cause sours in your relationship while if you lying not only you making sin but your boss might lost faith in you. In addition your lying might cause the person think you will her back up forever, get worsen and cause the inconvenient to other with her discipline problem. So take the middle alternative where third party that design for it to handle the issue.

5) To decline an invitation

Situation: Your boss conduct a birthday party at a restaurant that clearly also a pub with the business mainly selling liquor. Thinking that its not a good perspective/ example for a muslim to be seen in a pub you decided to not go.

Truth: I am very sorry, but I cannot attend. I seek your understanding that its not nice for a muslim to be seen in a pub that later because of us other muslim think its OK and no big deal drink and eat in a pub.

Comment: You dont have to lie or create another excuse for it. With gentle approach tell the truth and stand boldly in your principle. Your boss will understand it and by it he might give good consideration of others sensitivity next time. In my reading, if no other way it's ok to have meal in a place that serve liquor such as at hotel or in an event. Just take the halal food/drink and the utensil is usable after wash (Until the smell, test and color of the alcohol is disappear). However we cannot go to a place that known to mainly sell liquor such as pub or club. Just think that, if they serve alcohol, that means they not care about halal issue. We certainly cannot go to restaurant that serve pork. That because the utensil can only be use after Sertu and impossible for the restaurant to do that.

6) Excuses

Situation: You are an hour late for an appointment.

Lie: To create a better excuse you make up some fact saying you are late because of another meeting.

Comment: Making up a fact is a concrete lie that it seems not even slightest you feels guilty. The times you make up bold excuses not only you are lying to others, but also towards making it a habit.

6) Not willing to share

Situation: A stranger talking with you and want to know about you while you not comfortable or a friend want to know a thing that you not willing to share.

Lie: Telling the wrong fact

Trick: Answer a question with very short and general answer.

Comment: The person should take the hint that you are not willing to share. Dont lie, because the next meeting you will be chop as a liar.

7) Don't want others get worry

Situation: Your family ask how you doing while you are actually in big trouble. You don't want to share and make them worry.

Trick: Answer a question with very short and general answer, change to another topic, pretend you not hear the question or pretend that you are OK.

Comment: Towards your family do it wisely and naturally or you might be caught on act =P

In the examples isn't we treated lies as small matter and habitual. In the small matter, without us being force, or situation where lies is really not necessary yet we choose to lie. We casually lies many times, every time and anywhere for own benefit till we forget lie is a sin. Form now learn and discipline ourself to not lying because there must be a good reasons why lying is prohibited. At least we become more trustworthy, discipline and there will be more later.

ps- This article is a reminder to myself. Lets start to not lie in small2 matter =)

Sharing is Caring: Kind People

Al-Baqarah, verse 177, tafsir Mahmud Yunus

Just read the verse above. Islam teach us to be kind. From the list what catchy to me is the phrase ''He gives his precious belonging to his kin, orphans, the poor, people in travel and those who asked''. Thats very true because I myself experienced it. These kind of people giving with sincerity because they have kind heart without hoping anything in return. I really respect them and may Allah bless. Here are my story of meeting the kind people in my life.

Encik Marzuki Ali

It happened when I first went to KL to settle some important things. We are in the same bus that he actually missed his bus an hour before. Our bus arrived at 4am that it still dark without many people, no women and Im afraid of others. Because of that I take extra precaution, Im pretending to be brave, not asking for direction and walk on my own. I walk to a 24 hour shop but then going back to the bus stop. That when Encik Marzuki ask if I need help and I told him that I need to go to putrajaya. He said its dangerous for a girl to wondering alone this early hour so he told me to follow him and he will guide me the way. He said first we will go to masjid Jamek and then take train to Putrajaya. I follow him but still take a careful precaution, good thing he is a man with few words thus I trust him more and Im comfortable because I dont like to share anything to a stranger. We arrived at front of the mosque with few people waiting for the gate to open. It is on ramadhan thus I ate iftar with chocolate bread, I offer some to him but he kindly refuse. When almost subuh prayer the gate is open, we go to prayer and agree to meet at front of the mosque again.

From LRT masjid jamek we go to KL central then he send me until the train platform to Putrajaya. He gives his number and asked me to call him if I need help. Encik Marzuki destination is actually KLCC where he work with Petronas, even with opposite route he still willing to help me and buy all the tickets for me that worth RM30. I said to pay the transportation on my own but he said its Ok. I safely arrived at Putrajaya and finish my business finely.

The routes we take

Since then I never forget Encik Marzuki and sometimes I share with others my experience of meeting him. However I never call his number afraid if it may cause misunderstanding because of different gender and he is a married man. I belief he is very sincere in helping me, he must be happy to guide me safely, I belief he helping me because of his kind heart and because of Allah. He teach me sincerity, offering help, not ask in return, helping without condition and seek for Allah blessing. I really touched by the kindness and want to be like him. May Allah bless him and his family. amin..

Other than Encik Marzuki, I met many other kind people in my life. The kind neighbour, kind boss, kind teacher, kind friends and kind stranger, even we are not related, different races or religion. Nowadays its hard to simply trust people, some may a slander or some people takes advantage on kind people. Depend on situation, its good to be kind and do it with sincerity and seek for Allah blessing. By simply saying good words, not backbiting or offending others is also considered kind. Your kindness might changing others life and when they remember you surely with doa. Learn from our Prophet who loves by many for his kindness towards people even to people who againts him, toward kids, orphan and animals. With his kindness he show the beauty of Islam that many attracted to embrace Islam. Peace and blessings of Allah be upon the prophet.

p/s-'Buat baik berpada-pada, buat jahat jangan sekali'
Even if we cannot offering kindness, just dont be a misery to others.
Be careful with strangers or sweet-talker, prepare for the worst

Ramadhan & Eid 2014

Alhamdulillah ya Rabb for me to still breathing till today. Its a month after end of Syawal yet I still want to post about my Ramadhan and Eid 2014. That because they are special to me that I feel the compulsory to write about it, even its late. Hehe..

Alhamdulillah Ramadhan is always a blessing to me that it always the starting point for me to improve myself. A week before Ramadhan, people start blogging about how happy and excited they are welcoming Ramadhan. Blogwalking, and I read the post about how to complete the Al-Quran during Ramadhan. Alhamdulillah, my heart is open to try it as I never think about it before. When at collage I do join the Taddarus with my friends (they always encourage me to do good deed), but now there is only group of men doing Tadarus at surau. That means the past 3 Ramadhan not crossed in my mind to finish the Quran in Ramadahn but just doing my routine of reading few pages.

So this year Ramadhan Im aiming to take a step improvement to finish the Quran. I try my best to finish at least 1 and half juzuk a day by reading Quran after Subuh, Zohor, Magrib, and Terawikh. Honestly 6 pages in a time is kind of tiring, thus I didn't read the translation, and I read it faster. =P However sadly I did not finish the Quran that still 8 juzuk left when Ramadhan end. =( InsyaAllah, if Im still allive, ill try Harder next year.. Amin..

This year Im celebrating Eid at home. Just not long when last Im home, but many things change. Some are good news but there also sad news. Some neighbor and my cousin passed away. Thinking of the days we chatting and being a close neighbor it feel the loss in the neighborhood. Thank you aunty for teaching me how to make baju kurung, giving me extra creamer in chendol, giving us used shirt and for being very kind neighbor. Thank you cousin for being kind toward us and shows affection when we back to kampung. May the kind person rest in peace with Allah blessing. Amin..

When returning from home after Eid, I got Chicken pox. Which is the second Chiken pox after the first when I was 2 years old. Some info I read that it may cause death especially to the adult. It may cause brain infection or viral pneumonia by the chiken pox virus. My fever was not too bad, but still I think about the potential of death. It seems overreact, but its good for me to reflect my bad doing this while, forgive but not forget for what happened a year ago and always late for subuh prayer. I rarely mad at little things, I can adsorb ones anger or madness, I am not a hot tempered nor sensitive person, but if the hurting keep repeating I have a limit that I can forgive but not forget the tragedy. As for the late subuh prayer, I have no excuse, I am a sinner and a shame on me. Still Im grateful to at least have that feeling of shame and guilty, if not what do I become. Ya Allah help me to be a good muslim as I hate myself for being in anger or bad. Amin...

Dear all my friends and anyone who know me, taking this opportunity I sincerely ask for forgiveness for all my mistakes and wrongdoing. As for the tragedy a year ago, this forgiving season help me to forget the tragic day, it still a bad day but not too melodrama. As for it, you deserve this much of sulking. Its sweet for a few times but will be VERY BAD to repeat it many times. Both of us must take lesson form the tragedy.

I REALLY, REALLY HATE THAT DAY!!!!! PLEASE IT NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN =(

p/s- The tragedy above is between sisters. Because of the special bond thus the meaning is deeper, no limits, sincere and dramatic. Because I love my family very much, the disappointment hurt me more. But I am grateful to have a sister that willing to persuade me many times. If she is bad, she will never care if I am angry and leave me bite my own tongue. I was not leave alone in anger and she many times with sweet and gentle method approaching me. That the reasons we are fated for each other. In addition half of it is my mistake, its all past and Im very grateful that everyone is physically healthy. Lets take it positively that way, Happy ending =)

Samseng tahi kucing (Cat’s Poop Gangster)

Samseng tahi kucing is one of the very popular phrases in refer to a thug that acting though and gangster but actually is a coward. I got one this kind of gangster living in my house. His name not other than the one I always quote, the awesome Mr Babu C’Oner or his real name is Kelabu C'Oner.

The sketch of a WANTED gangster

I found Babu when he was about a month old. He was screaming LOUDLY and was surrounded by Baby and the gang. Hes specialty is his soprano voice and a gullaton. His supprano voice is EXTREAMLY loud and beautiful that whenever he start to use it I will obey. When he said "I want to eat", I'll serve him real fast... and the second he said "I want to get out of this room", I'll open the room quickly. NOBODY can stand his soprano voice, it's so BEAUTIFUL and PIERCE!

About being gullaton, he dosen't chew instead just gulping and vacuuming his food. An example is cat's treats, when other chews happily a treat, he just gulping 6 treats. It's just so amazing that I wonder if he enjoying the meal that way? huhu..

There is one time when he missing for 8 days after tapped in a store. Thank God for his fluffy fat, he survive the whole week not eating nor drinking and amazingly trapped upside-down in a very small pit. Well, with his missing I discovered that he eats the most among my cats. When I saw the food not finished I miss the bulldozer very much. First I thought Babu is gone looking for partner as it is very usual for him to not at home and only return when times to eat. I got furious when it take 5 days, but at day 7 Alhamdulillah with instinct I just know he is in the store. I went to the store and try to summon Babu, suddenly a very-very-very-very smooth voice linger in my ears. It's like weather I'm imaging things or if it is real. The store is actually have open window so no one will assume a cat traped into it especially my boss, but still they allow and help me to check. Luckily he was in there trapped upside down in a very small and closed area. That why his pierce soprano voice doesn't heard clearly.

I sketch Babu the 4th day he went missing

The 7th day Babu was found in condition as in the picture. It was the last day of Bunga (the orange cat) & Babu was found on the same day. I am sad as well happy, it's all Alhamdulillah..

After his return, Shumaker & Helmet checking on him. Notice that the fat is still there and maybe enough for another few days. hehehe..

Monsta also checking on him while Babu ignoring them and continue to drink

Due to his upside-down position in a pit, he injured on top and rear head......

I felt pity at him, but the second thought I burst, hahahahaha..... =p

Even after facing the almost-death experience, he stills a samseng to wondering around in the neighborhood the next day after the incident. After recovering enough fat and muscle, he becomes more arrogant to bully his kind and softhearted bro, Mr Monsta. He and Monsta is same age and when they younger they were very good and love each other that once they slept, playing and eat together. However nowadays Babu become a gangster and always bully Monsta. Whenever he sees Monsta he growling with his soprano voice and after a while he spanks Monsta. Monsta never fight back, instead he just lowering his body sign to surrender and he just meowing back bagging for sympathy. The mighty Babu ignores it and meowing louder to show hi is strongest. However amazingly sometimes he is very kind towards Monsta that he licking (bathing) Monsta and they sleep together, but another second the licking become biting and Babu mad to Monsta. Huh, my Babu....Babu.....

Sometimes they can be very close...

Monsta is very kind, playfull, innocent and easy going, by contrast Babu is manly, play rough and selfish. All the kids prefer to Monsta.

If they want to cushionate Babu, he keep working out wiggling around making the kids not comfortable.

The mark between the eyes was made by Babu....

....and this too

However as in the title above, Babu is just a cat's poop gangster, he only bully the weak and kind Monsta but actually very coward towards dogs and his mum, aunt Nebo. He is well behaved and not even dare to make a single noise in front of Nebo. Nebo is a very strict mum and will just spank anyone who not behave or threatening her kitten. Haha.

Usually he's back during eating hour or when it is raining

Sometimes he return with a black face...

...or an innocent face with mud

Anyway overall Babu is not a bad or mean cat. He still kind towards younger kitten and female cat. Maybe he is just pretending to be mean towards Monsta to tell others that he is the leader in the house. However at this moments the TAIKO of the house is aunt Nebo. hehehehe..

''Unconditionally, we all still LOVE
Babu the cat's poop gangster!!'' =D

**At the this moments I heard Babu with his soprano voice bullying Monsta. Huhuhuhu...

Cat's Urinary Problem

Intro
Cats urinary problem is related to dysfunction of cat's urinary system to work normally. Male cat have higher risk to urethral blockages because of their narrower urethra.

Symptom
  • Difficulty in urinate and usually with small amount
  • Bloody or cloudy urine
  • Constant liking to urinary opening
  • Strong odor of urine
  • Vomiting
  • Hardening of abdomen
  • The active cat that suddenly become passive

            Causes
            • Cat drink less water
            • Stones and debris accumulation in the urethra
            • Bacteria infection
            • Injury or tumor in the urinary tract
            • Stress
            • Congenital abnormality
            • Poor diet (Example: Commercial food with high salt and additive)

            Vet treatment
            • Antibiotic and medication
            • Dietary changes
            • Increase in water intake
            • Urinary acidifiers
            • Expelling of small stones through urethra
            • Surgery to either remove bladder stones or tumor, or to correct congenital abnormality
            • Urinary catheter or surgery to remove urethral blockage in male cats
            • Fluid therapy

            Natural prevention
Giving your cat drink barley water periodically is one of prevention to this disease. Barley water is test-less thus cat can consume it normally compare to the bitterness of herb and pill. However addition of milk can increase cat's appetite to consume it.  It works to human too.

            Barley as natural remedy

            Feed choice
Consume dry commercial food and drink less water is one of the cause of this disease. If this is the cause, then indirectly its our fault. Dry food are usually choosen as its easy to handle and last longer. However if you give them dry food, make sure to provide your cat plenty of clean water to drink. In case of commercial food, dont just choose the cheapest but choose wisely based on the ingredients and quality. If your cat shows sickness after consume the brand, change to another brand. For better quality buy premium food from pet shop or the one recommended by vet. But to save cost, its much better if you prepare the cat food yourself such as mixed rice with fish and meat. It is cost saving, no additive, fresh and natural. However you must make sure to prepare it cleanly, well cooked and not too excessive.

How to encourage cat to drink more
            • Prepare few bowls of water especially the area the cats eating or their favorite area
            • Use bigger size of bowl
            • Do not put the water bowl near the litter box
            • Fill full the bowl because cat doesn't like to drink from an almost empty bowl
            • Everyday and when necessary clean the water bowl

            My Own Experience

I have experience this problem several times. The symptom are cat's frequent and difficult urinate with small amount of urine, thick and cloudy urine. The vet prescribe me this pill to treat my cat. Quarter of pill twice daily before eat. I really recommend this pill as it really works to all my affected cats. For the second, third and forth case I didn't even go to vet where I keep this pill and give my symptomatic cat, and alhamdulillah with Allah willing they cured.

The cat should little bit at ease after one day consuming the tablet. Continue give the tablet until she fully recover. The longest time I gave my cat the tablet is five days where at day 4, I reduce the consumption to only quarter of pill a day.

I recommended this tablet as first aid for the symptomatic cat, but if no improvement after 2 days consuming it, bring your cat to vet immediately for further check up.

The tablet is actually for human consumption, but still work for animals with regulated dose as mentioned above. Be careful and if you not confident, refer to your vet for advice.

There are sickness but there also the cure for it. Allah create herbs that benefit to human/ animals health. Be grateful and try your best to keep your buddy pets healthy.  May the blessing and happiness continue with your buddy and family. Amin..

This medicine able to treat cat's urinary problem. It works on my cats. Try it! In Sha Allah [credit]

            WARNING

This problem is not like diarrhea where you can wait till next day or two days for natural healing by changing diet. Delaying more time to vet will only cause your cat in pain to unable urinate and more accumulate urine which will cause severe effect. For the first aid, you may try the Himalaya Cystone tablet.

            Aunt Nebo and Oranges

It happened three weeks ago. I was just back from work when I heard weird hissing sound from the kitchen. I went to investigate to find Monsta checking something under the refrigerator. Thought it maybe a snake, so I shoo Monsta away and peeping from far. Luckily it’s not a snake instead just three little kittens. Whoa! How come this little three entering my house? It’s impossible for them to climb up the kitchen window that I purposely let open for my adult cat easy excess to outdoor. It seems somebody put them into my house through the open window.

Since the beginning I already know who the person is, so I went to their house and inquiry them. Deep down I am angry, but since they are elder and my neighbor who I will meet everyday, I ask them politely and patiently. The husband admits to put the kitten into my house. I reply, asking why they didn't meet me personally to adopt the kittens, and the wife says sorry. I cool down hearing the word sorry and no more argument I ask them to give me the mother so I can spay it at vet. The husband helps me to put the mother into cage and later it reunites with her children. I don’t like what they do, but I think it is better rather than the person who kill or abuse animal. They must be very shock to see me daring to question them. I can be friendly and polite but I will not let anyone as pleased to intrude my house because that is obviously not a right thing.

Three days later while walking in front of a store, I met another kitten which I know exactly is aunt Nebo's. I bring him back and the four siblings reunite. The mother I named as aunt Nebo which derived from the word neighbor. Her four little kittens all oranges I called The Orange Sibling which later I give name Tiger, Cheetah, Puma and Lion.

Aunt Nebo is actually also the mother to Babu and the B's (4 kittens). One year ago Babu was abandoned near my house, while few months ago it was the B's. They were abandoned and risked to be eaten by dogs. I adopt Babu at 8pm, but the B's it was already 12am when I searching for them at the backyard. Maybe the owner pity at me to do late night searching and thus he choose to directly put the kittens into my house through the window. It was very considerate of them but still it is not a right thing to do.

Since aunt Nebo is very fertile to pregnant three times a year, I choose to spay her. When Babu and the B's were abandon, Im thinking to ask permission from the owner to do that. However it’s kind of weird plus Nebo is very wild and seldom to be seen. So its seem the incident has catalyzed me to help the cat. Alhamdulillah, I can see the family is very happy and I’m happy too.

Even the cats coming in that way, still I’m very happy to welcome the family. They are not a burden to me and I thought that just another unique way to meet my cats. I will live with them happily and gratefully. To my neighbor, I dont really mad but I have to speak in order for you to know that Im not very easy going and dont do that again.

Sharing is Caring (Quran Surah Az-Zumar)

What I learn and a reminder to myself:

When in difficulty, sad or hoping something, we always remember Allah. Example, repeatedly we pray 'Ya Allah, I really hope to get this job, I will work hard and may it will become ibadah for me to get halal income for my family'. After getting the job, we too busy of working hard and neglecting our ibadah especially solat. Continuously forgetting and neglecting ibadah, we become arrogant of the status and sometimes we think we get and deserved it because of our hard work and knowledge. Yes we should be proud the effort of working hard, but only by Allah's willing we achieved what we have today. So let us working hard to achieve our ambition, not arrogant in His earth, not jealous of someone else achievement and be grateful for what He gives us. Alhamdulillah..
