Today's news saddened me. Its about 20 construction workers burried in a landslide incident. Condolences to all victims and their family.
These peoples are working hard for their family. Their work are heavy and most people won't be able to endure it.
Whenever I pass a construction site I a bit sad to see how hard and heavy their works. It cannot be done by me or most people, but they accepted it. My parents also work as a labour in sawmill and I did little bit understand the hardship their family went through.
I know some uncles who have experience working in a construction site. I ask them about the salary, and it's unbelivable to know that hard work is paid not more than the minimum wages. I means it is a lot easier to work as a cashier in supermarket than be a labour for a same salary. Whats or not, they willing to work in a construction site, contribue in developement and build facilities that ease our daily life.
Many stories I heard about the unfortunate things happened at the construction site. Thier work is very risky, small injury might be normal for them. Exposed to chemicals or hazard might not be their concern other than they want to work to feed their family.
What I want to emphasize, as a human we should have emphaty to less fortunate peoples. Their hard work should be paid fairly, care for their safety and we should never takes advantage on their weaknesses. Treat people as much we want to be treated.
Again my condolence to the victims. I hope they can safely recover. May Allah swt accept the hardwork as one of jihad for their family, their contribution in development as endless rewards as much it is used and the sorrow be paid for a better reward by the most rich and merciful Allah swt. Aaminn..
Any words cant describe... "berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu yang memikul".
